Introduction
The Local Supply Chain platform uses six statuses to help classify projects across your business. The status can be updated at any time and can be used to aid handovers from one team to another, for example estimators generally work at projects with an 'estimating 'status, and can handover the project to the delivery team by updating the status to 'contract'.
Who can access this area?
You will need to be the named project owner, or have existing editing rights to be able to update the project status.
Also, if you have Admin role you can change the status of a project
Project Status
The LSC platform has the following statuses for projects:
Pipeline: Projects at pipeline are made visible to certain suppliers (see Pipeline Projects).
Tender: Use this status when you are Tendering for the work with your client.
Contract: Also known as delivery or live stage of a project i.e Won work.
On Hold: for projects on hold.
Closed: A place to archive 'Won' projects that are now closed.
Lost: A place to archive 'Lost' projects that are now closed.
Upon saving your project, you may update the project manager and grant editing rights to the project by sharing it with other users (see below the map).
How do I update the Project Status?
Navigate to the desired project and select edit, next change the project status and save the project to update the status.
When should the status be updated?
The project status can be updated at any time, however its usually important to update this field upon the following events:
- When estimate costs are required for a pipeline project (update from Pipeline to Tender).
- When a project is won and handed over to the delivery team (Tender updated to Contract).
- When a project is lost (Tender updated to Lost).
- When a project closes (Contract updated to Closed).
