Introduction
Projects form an important part of the LSC platform and are used across the system to facilitate enquiries, supplier engagement & local spend statistics, therefore it is important to create new projects at an early stage.
Who can access this area?
All users from your organisation have the ability to create projects on the platform.
How to create a new project?
- Select 'Projects' from the left-hand menu
- Select 'New Project'
- Complete the project fields as shown on screen
- The project manager field defaults to you and can be updated once the project is saved.
- The project dates and value are project optional fields.
- Please remember to set the correct Project status - please see below.
- Client: Enter the first few letters, the system will look up existing records or create a new record.
- Contract: as per last bullet point.
- Project Location: enter a postcode, town or area and select from results.
- Procurement setting: these will allow you to close the enquiry before the close date/allow you to access proposals before the close date/edit their proposals
- will be locked once saved so please double check this before saving
- When finished press 'save'
The project will be saved to the database and you will retain full editing rights to your project, with other users having read only rights to your project information.
Project Status
The LSC platform has the following statuses for projects:
Pipeline: Projects at pipeline are made visible to certain suppliers (see Pipeline Projects).
Tender: Use this status when you are Tendering for the project with your client.
Contract: Also known as delivery or live stage of a project i.e Won work.
On Hold: for projects on hold.
Closed: A place to archive 'Won' projects that are now closed.
Lost: A place to archive 'Lost' projects that are now closed.
Upon saving your project, you may:
- Change the Project owner.
- Grant editing rights to other Users by sharing the project with them.
- You can add labels so certain groups of suppliers can see the project
- Add the project to a framework
- Share the project with your clients as read only format
- Add team members on as editors
