Introduction
You can store documents in the project to easily access when creating your work packages. We would recommend creating your document library when waiting for responses on your EOI’s
We would also advise to upload project wide documents/folders in the document tab, for easy access. Once you start creating your work packages, upload package specific folders directly in the work package documents tab.
Who can access this area?
All users from your organisation can access enquiry documents, with only project editors having the access required to add new, amend or delete.
How do I manage enquiry documents?
Every enquiry can have documents linked to it from the project document library. The following steps describe the process of including documents in detail:
1) Navigate to the desired enquiry, and go to the project page
2) Select the document tab
3) You can either drag and drop the documents/folders or select them from your desktop. The documents tab will keep your folders in the same structure for easy management
Note: Please view the project document help article to learn how to add, edit and delete documents & folders from the project library. All the controls for managing project documents are available when configuring an enquiry (e.g drag and drop folders and files). Click here
Note: The maximum size of any one document has been set to 100MB - this limit has been set to maximise supplier engagement with some suppliers struggling to download large files. If you find that you are exceeding this limit, then try splitting zip files into two or contact our support service at Support@localsupplychain.co.uk
4) Review the 'documents tab to ensure all desired documents are included. You may remove unwanted documents by selecting the bin icon.
How to attach folders to your work package
Navigate to your project and select the +ITT. Once you have selected the trade and come through to the work package page, select the documents tab. Here you can add package specific documents to the work package which won’t transfer to other work packages.
You are not restricted to just using LSC to handle your documents, if you are using an external document manager you can share this with suppliers. Go to the configure page when creating your work package where you will see the below
Select 'Use external document service yes' and paste the link
