With over 30,000 users accessing our LSC platform both from the contractor and buyer sides, it is incredibly important to us that the system is accessible to all, without discrimination. With that in mind, our support desk team are trained to assist users that may have impaired vision, motor difficulties, cognitive impairments or learning difficulties and deafness or impaired hearing and advise them on the solutions available to ensure their experience of LSC is user friendly.
We already have a range of solutions in place for the following:
- Scalable site, to work with a range of zoom options for those with impaired vision.
- Bright, contrasting colours throughout the site (avoiding red and green, the two most common difficulties for those with colour blindness) to assist those with impaired vision.
- The ability to use the system on a range of devices from phones to tablets and computers to suit a range of users depending on their accessibility needs.
- Our support desk team is trained to advise users on how to delay their mouse, when using a computer, to assist those with motor difficulties.
- The system is designed to emit no sound to assist those with deafness or impaired hearing.
- Our support desk team are also available on a full-time basis to assist with ad hoc queries and providing additional support and training for those with cognitive impairments or learning difficulties.
- We have a selection of pre-recorded user guides to enable a range of users to review and learn more about the system in their own time, with the ability to pause and rewind all sections.
Whilst we are incredibly proactive in our attempts to make the LSC platform as accessible as possible, we are also willing to explore additional ways we can support all our users and would be happy to consider enhancing our system further, should any users have additional feedback suggestions
