Introduction
Supplier labels are used by your organisation to help classify your supply chain. An administrator from your business can create and apply labels at any time, they can also add expiry dates, so labels are automatically removed from supplier's profiles after a certain date.
Who can access this area?
All users can see the labels applied to supplier's profiles, but only organisation admins can edit or change the labels
How do I view a label?
Labels are visible each time the supplier is listed on screen. Labels are usually colour coded and have a bespoke title (e.g Approved, Not Approved, PQQ in progress etc) which can be completely customized by your business.
How can I use labels?
Labels are very useful and can be used in the following ways on LSC:
- When searching for a supplier, you can filter by label.
- On Pipeline projects, restricting visibility to suppliers with a certain label.
- Market Engagement, to only engage suppliers with a certain label.
- Narrowing the search for suppliers for an Enquiry, to help you identify the right suppliers.
- During a PQQ process, so you can see ones in progress etc.
What else do I need to know?
Labels have several added features that maybe enabled:
- Labels can be set to expire. For example, a 'approved' supplier label may be set to expire after a 12-month period. Labels that have expired are highlighted and have the words "Expired" stated on the label.
- Labels can used to stop the award process. A label can be configured that prevents the award process from being actioned. When the label is applied to a supplier(s), then these suppliers cannot be awarded on LSC.
- Labels can be used to enable the award process. A label can be configured that enables the award process for only those suppliers with the label.
